Two held for robbing a house in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 15 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A month after robbery was reported in a house at Heble Gram Panchayath limits, Bhatkal town police successfully arrested two men in connection to the crime here at Bhatkal Taluka.
The detained have been identified as Syed Moosa Ahmed of Maghdoom colony and Jaffer Sadiq Habibullah Sheikh of Hanifabad.
Earlier, the robbers on September 14 had broke into the house belonging to Lingappa Naik, and had robbed valuables including cash worth Rs.1.75 lac. Following which a case was registered at Bhatkal Town police station.
CPI Ganesh who took charge over the investigation, made his first arrest on Friday by taking Syed Moosa under custody. During interrogation, Syed revealed about the involvement of Jaffer Sheikh in the crime, which was followed by the second arrest of Jaffer by the team led by CPI Ganesh.
The police then seized gold weighing 69.17 gram worth Rs.1,32,800 and Silver weighing 148.22 grams from them.
The detained accused were then presented before the magistrate and were later shifted to Karwar jail.
