Bhatkal: A two-day Tablighi Ijtima held at Anjuman Abad in Bhatkal concluded on Thursday night, December 25, with a collective prayer attended by a large number of people. The congregation ended around 9 pm.

The Ijtima began on Wednesday after the Fajr prayer and saw participation from residents of Bhatkal and nearby areas. During the programme, several religious sessions were held focusing on faith, self-discipline, regular prayers, moral conduct, and living according to Islamic teachings.

Scholars and senior members of the Tablighi Jamaat from Bhatkal and Bengaluru addressed the gathering and spoke on the importance of personal reform and religious responsibility. Their talks encouraged participants to reflect on their daily practices and strengthen their commitment to faith.

On the second day, a special session for scholars was organised at Anjuman Masjid after the Zuhr prayer. The discussions centred on religious duties, social reform, and the role of outreach activities. Speakers highlighted the need for individuals to remain conscious of their actions and responsibilities.

After the Asr prayer, a separate session was held for students, where speakers advised them to balance education with moral values and avoid negative influences. Another session was conducted for members of the fishing community, focusing on ethical livelihood, regular prayers, and maintaining a religious environment.

The final session drew a large crowd, with people arriving from different parts of the town and nearby localities. Several markets and commercial areas remained quiet during the concluding programme as many residents chose to attend the final prayer.

During the closing supplication, prayers were offered for peace, social harmony, guidance for the community, protection of the youth, and forgiveness for the deceased. Organisers thanked volunteers, participants, and supporters for their cooperation and said they hoped the messages of the Ijtima would have a positive impact on society.
