Two bodies recovered in Bhatkal: police suspect suicide

Bhatkal, September 18, 2021: Two bodies were recovered from the sea in Hadin taluka of Bhatkal this evening, in connection with which the police have expressed suspicion of suicide after a preliminary investigation. According to police sources, the two are from Bangalore. Preliminary inquiries also revealed that the bodies of the mother and son were found two days ago in Murudeshwar. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Police Station as police officials are trying to trace family contacts. The bodies are currently being kept at the Government Hospital morgue and awaiting autopsy. It should be noted that this place is known as Hudmude among locals and is a popular picnic spot.
