Two Bhatkal lads selected to represent Karnataka university in Badminton at National level

Bhatkal 28 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Abul Hussain Maalik, s/o Late Abdus Salam Damda Abu, a students of Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce college and PG Centre in second year become and Nikhil Shanbag Guru Sudhindra College have been selected to represent Karnataka University Dharwad, (KUD) in Badminton at All India Inter University National Level Tournament to be held in SRM University Chennai between November 20-25. Interestingly, the young lad has been selected as University Blue in the same sport for the second consecutive year. The selection round took place in Dharwad on October 23 and 24, wherein over 50 students participated in the trials out of which six players including Abul Hussain and another Bhatkal lad Nikhil Shanbagh of Guru Sudhindra College were selected as univerity blues. Both the Bhatkal lads remained unbeaten throughout the trails and selection rounds, to be selected to represent the university.
