Two arrested for planning mobile phone thefts at Gandhi Falls in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: 06 October,2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Police have arrested two men accused of planning to steal mobile phones from tourists visiting Gandhi Falls, located near Kadsalgadde in Muttalli-Bilalkhand village of Bhatkal.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Ameer, a resident of Bilalkhand, and Abdul Rahman, from Badriya Colony.

According to police, the duo had allegedly planned to target visitors at the popular picnic spot and steal their mobile phones. Acting on credible information, the Bhatkal Rural Police nabbed them before they could carry out the theft.

A case has been registered at the Bhatkal Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway under the supervision of CPI Manjunath Lingareddy.
