As a matter of fact, one can even pray for its increase. However, the sign of a true Muslim is that his wealth doesn't divert him from the remembrance of his Lord." This thought was expressed by Mufti Mahmud Gangohi's mentor and guide Maulana Mufti Farooque (Meeruthi) in a programme organized by Jamia Islamia Bhatkal in Tanzeem Millia Masjid after Isha prayers. On this occasion, Maulana iterated many facts about Sahabas (companions of Prophet), Taabein (the generation that came after Prophet), and the righteous predecessors who were rich but still the chosen ones in their era, who were the kings and still the pious and righteous slaves of Allaah. He said that love of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and mercy of Allaah be upon him) is an essential part of faith. The more one has the love of Prophet Mohammed (peace and mercy of Allaah be upon him) the better will be his faith and if the love for Prophet (peace and mercy of Allaah be upon him) is weak, then his faith will also be weak. The one who truly loves the messenger (peace and mercy of Allaah be upon him) will find his company in the paradise. In the end, he expressed happiness on his visit to Bhatkal and praised the efforts of Jamia and the Academy in spreading the religion. A large number of the audience attended the function.
