Truck overturns on NH-66 near Shirali; Driver, cleaner safe

31 Aug 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: A truck carrying bags loaded with Mung beans overturned on Shirali National Highway near Venktapur spilling its cargo on the road. However, the driver and the cleaner are both reported safe. As per sources, the truck was heading towards Mangalore after loading Mung beans at Lakshmaneshwar. When it reached near Venktapur in Shirali, one of the tyres of the truck bursted, due to which the vehicle lost its stability and overturned. As a result, bags containing mung beans were spilled on the road. Immediately after the accident, the truck was lifted back with the help of a crane.
