Truck laden with cattle confiscated in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: As Id-ul-Adha nears, incidents of cattle seizures are on rise day-by-day and at different places cattle are being confiscated and men who transport them have been arrested.
In a fresh incident, a truck carrying cattle from Haveri to Udupi was confiscated near Anfal supermarket in Bhatkal on Friday morning and four persons have been arrested in this connection.
According to sources, the truck was laden with 20 animals worth Rs 1 lakh. The persons who have been arrested in this connection were identified as truck driver Shiva (34), Munaf Moula Shaikh (49), Nagraj Chinappa (30) and Mohammed Saleem (30).
This case was registered at Bhatkal Town Police Station.
