Tourist drowns in Murdeshwar

Murdeshwar - 29 Dec 2011: One tourist drowned in Murdeshwar Sea when he was swept away by strong waves while swimming in the Sea. The deceased have been identified as Veer Bhadrappa (49) of Gadag. According to the sources, he arrived in Murdeshwar with his family in the evening and went for a swim. As he was not aware of the nature of the Sea, he fell prey to the killer waves and swept away in the waters. Local fisherman tried to rescue him, but they failed in their attempt. A case has been registered in Murdeshwar Police Station.
