TMC President participates in cleaning drive

Bhatkal - 20 June 2011: Roadside garbage is a big problem faced by Bhatkal residents. One can easily notice waste and garbage piling up at several places especially the areas coming under gram panchayat limits. The situation in municipality areas have improved tremendously after Inayatullah Shabandri took charge as TMC President. Few days back he participated in a cleaning drive and supervised the entire operation. But this is not the case in gram panchayat areas. The elected representatives are least bothered about such problems.

According to the local residents, Panchayat members are seen only during election time, once they get elected, they keep themselves away from public interaction and resurfaces only before next election.

It may be interesting to note that, most of the elected panchayat members are Tnazeem sponsored. So it is the high time Tanzeem and people should seriously think before announcing the candidate for any elections.
