TMC holds Drainage cleaning drive in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 01 June, 2011: Bhatkal TMC held drainage cleaning drive here in all 23 wards of Bhatkal town with the help of Govt's special fund which was allotted to the Bhatkal TMC. According to the sources, town's drainage system was not properly cleaned for the past 10 years, so this time Govt allotted 10 lakh rupees as a special package for this purpose.

Speaking on the occasion, TMC President Mr Inayatullah Shabandri said, 'This time the chances are less for water logging at Shamsuddin circle and NH-17 during rainy season.' He also announced progress in the construction of proposed Pur Bhavan near Govt Hospital.

On this occasion I G Naik, Venugopal Shastri and others were present.
