TMC Engineer questioned about delay in construction of town hall in body's general meeting

Bhatkal 02 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Town Municipality Council on Thursday organised its monthly General meeting November 1, Thursday, which was chaired by TMC president Sadiq Matta here at the TMC complex in Bhatkal.
TMC Member Pascol Gomes during the meeting questioned the TMC Engineer for the delay in construction of Town hall in the Taluka and also inquired about funds sanctioned for it. Responding to the query Engineer Umesh added that about 1.85 crore rupees have been sanctioned for the construction and additional 2 crore rupees are required for its completion.
"A lot of money has already been spent on the project, and yet it is delayed, if such is the pace then we will never see the project completed" Pascol rebutted.
Issues pertaining to encroached lands were also discussed during the meeting.
The members also urged the administration to provide clean drinking water facilities across the Bhatkal Taluka.
A warm discussion about various issues took place among the TMC member during the meeting.
On this occasion TMC CEO Venkatesh Navuda, TMC Vice President Mohinuddin Mohammed Ashfaq, Health officer Sojiya Soman, Kaiser Motesham, and others were also present.
