New Delhi: Days after UPSC topper, Tina Dabi announced her plans to marry second ranker Athar Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan, the couple has ended receiving a flak for their ‘love knows no boundaries’ relationship.
In a letter to Tina’s father, Hindu Mahasabha’s National Secretary, Munna Kumar Sharma asked him to reconsider the decision and suggested for Khan’s ‘ghar-wapasi’.
The letter also states, “Hindu Mahasabha will extend full support to the family in performing ghar-wapasi of Athar Khan”.
“I would like to inform that foreign elements and Muslim extremists are working to promote ‘love jihad’ in the country on a big level. Through this, an effort is being made to Islamise the whole country,” the letter, which is published on Hindu Mahasabha’s official website, reads.
Talking about how both the toppers fell in love, “We met in the morning and by evening Aamir was at my door. Uske liye pehli nazar mein pyaar ho gaya (For him, it was love at first sight)”, she said. It was August by the time his charm swayed her.”But I thank Aamir every day for his perseverance. He is a wonderful person,” dabi said.
