Three of a family killed on the spot in a road mishap at Yellapur

Yellapur 26 June 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Three members of the same family died on the spot including a 18 months old infant, in a road mishap between a car and a truck on NH-66 near Mavalli cross of Yellapur here on Tuesday, 26 June.
The deceased have been identified as Vinayak Hegde(35), Archana Hegde(33) and Sharvani (Infant). However, Four years old Yashashwini Hegde survived with minor injuries.
According to sources, Vinayak Hegde a resident of Sirsi, was working in a private company at Bengaluru, and was recently transferred to Belgaum, Vinayak along with family was on his way to Belgaum from Sirsi to enroll his daughter to the school at Belgaum, when the accident took place.
The incident occurred when the truck which was on its way to Kumta from Hubballi, rammed into Hegde's car killing three on spot while injuring Yeshashwini.
The accused driver has been detained by the police and a case has been registered at Yellapur police station.
