Three of a family killed in a road accident at Karwar

Karwar 27 Feb 2018: Three members of a family died in a collision between a bike and a tipper on a highway near Binaga of Karwar here on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Amit Kaushal (31), a native of Uttar Pradesh and employed at Naval base in Karwar, his wife Jyothi Guptha (25) and their two-year-old child.

Amit Kaushal, along with the rest was heading towards Karwar from Binaga on National Highway 66, when the accident took place. The speeding tipper truck moving towards Ankola crashed into the bike and toppled killing all the three.

A case has been registered at Karwar police station.
