Three murder suspects held after body found in Oman

Muscat: Three suspects have been arrested after the Royal Oman Police (ROP) found a body in Hafeet, officials announced. The Department of Criminal Investigation, led by the Buraimi Governorate Police, "arrested three Asian nationalities accused of the murder. The unidentified victim is of the same nationality", the force reported in an online statement. An official source in the Royal Oman Police said: "Patrol men of the Hafeet police station found the victim's body dumped in an area free of the population, and through search and investigation the perpetrators of the crime were caught. "They admitted to killing the victim because of a dispute while trying to smuggle him out of the Sultanate," the official added. The defendants were referred to the prosecution for investigation and brought to the competent court.
