Three injured in a road mishap at Bhatkal; two shifted to Kundapur

Bhatkal 24 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Three members of a family sustained injuries in a road accident that took place on NH 66 near St. Joseph Church at Puvarga of Bhatkal on Saturday evening here.
The victims have been identified as Ramakrishna (40), and his daughter Shreshty (14) who sustained serious injuries while Ramakrishna's wife Laxmi escaped with minor injuries.
According to the eye witnesses of the incident took place, Ramakrishna on his bike was heading towards Sarpankatte, and while overtaking a truck panicked as a Toyota Quallis car came from opposite direction. The car driver in a bid to avoid collision with Ramakrishna, steered his car away, panicked Ramakrishna also turned his bike in the same direction which resulted in the accident.
All the three victims were rushed to Bhatkal Taluka Government Hospital for first-aid after which Ramakrishna and Shreshty who had sustained head injuries were shifted to Kundapur for further treatment.
Bhatkal town police reached the spot and conducted initial investigation and toed both the vehicle to police station.
