Three cow dies as cattle truck overturns on Ankola highway

Ankola 28 June 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) At least three cows died on the spot after a truck carrying cattle toppled on NH-66 near Hebbula of Ankola Taluk here on Wednesday, 27 June. As per the sources, a truck carrying about 10 cattle was heading towards Kerala from Maharashtra. The incident took place when the driver lost control over the wheels allegedly due to over-speeding and toppled on NH-66 of Ankola. Three bulls died on the spot while one is reported to be critical. However, the driver of the truck fled away from the the spot. A case has been registered at Ankola police station, and a team of police is looking out for the truck driver.
