Thousands appear for Islamic assessments

Over 100,000 students appear for Islamic exams run by Moulana Abul Hassan Ali Nadvi Academy Bhatkallys News, 28 January 2017: Muslim students across India appeared for Islamic assessments organized by the Moulana Abul Hassan Ali Nadvi Academy across 516 centers spanning various Indian states. The assessments are based on an Islamic-curriculum drafted by the Academy and are becoming increasingly popular with learners. Translated in eight languages, Islamic books published by the Academy have found popularity – both within India and internationally. This year, more than 123,000 students appeared in the assessments which took place across 516 centers. Since its inception, more than 825,000 students have taken the assessments, which tests the students on their Islamic knowledge. Moulana Mohammed Ilyas Nadvi, Founder and General Secreatry of the academy said, “The significant increase in number of students taking these examinations can only be attributed to the mercy of Allah and the willingness of Muslim parents to  impart a value-based education to their children.” The exams were first hosted in 2001, with a cohort of 350 students appearing in the first cycle of assessments. Islamic books published by the academy are available for students from early years to Grade 10. Each Islamic book includes 10 chapters covering Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Quranic Commentary, Islamic history, moral values and duas among other important topics. (Bhatkallys News Service)
