This garlic peeling factory in Bhatkal is the example of how small-scale businesses can pay rich dividends

Bhatkal 25 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A small scale industry in Bhatkal which has been into the business of garlic peeling and packaging is slowly making its grip over the market, while also presenting local gulf-returns due to the crisis, with some rays of hope of establishing themselves with such small scale business to lead financially balanced lives. Located in Jali Patan Panchayath limits Azaad Enterprises, was established about one year ago by Mohammed Javeed, for peeling garlic for sale at his vegetable shop, but over the period of one year he is now supplying the product to over ten vegetable vendors of Bhatkal and around. Speaking to Bhatkallys.com Javeed added, “This is a nice business to have you only have investment of about five lakh rupees, and then if you work hard and dedicatedly you can lead a balanced life”. "We are leading a happy life, we are not worried about what is happening in Gulf, and all that sort of questions and worries that has become headache for locals over the past few months, we know as long as we work hard and with focus we need not worry about it, plus it also gives you advantage of being at home and providing employment to a few employees" Javeed adds. The factory deals in both wholesale and retail business and promises a difference of at least 10 Rs from the market rate if purchased directly from the factory. At a time when the gulf crisis has forced hundreds of NRIs to return back to India and is expected to do so in near future, such low-investment business can be the long term solution to those looking for business and employment opportunities in India.
