Thefts in Bhatkal continue to concern residents

Bhatkal: The incidents of thefts continue to haunt residents of Bhatkal as robbers now are boldly carrying out thefts in Bhatkal.
In a fresh incident, unidentified burglars made away with Rs 4,000 cash and golden ornaments worth more than 2 lakhs of Rupees from an empty house at KHB Colony 2nd Cross Monday evening. The burglary occurred in Salahuddin Pote's residence.
The inmates of the house left for Eid shopping at 8.30 pm and when they returned back at 10.30 pm they found golden jewelries worth more than 2 lakhs and Rs 4,000 cash missing from the locker.
When the news if this incident reached the police, PSI Manjunath reached the spot and inspected the house.
