Tengangundi Qazi Hafiz Abdul Qadir Dangi seriously injured in road accident

Bhatkal: Hafiz Abdul Qadir Dangi (79), the Qazi of Tengangundi Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and administrator of Madrasa Arabia Taleem-ul-Quran, Tengangundi, sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Koteshwar, Kundapur on Thursday night. Following initial treatment at a Kundapur hospital, he was shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for further medical care.
The accident occurred around 10:30 PM while the Qazi was returning to Bhatkal from Mangaluru along with his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Their car reportedly hit a road divider on the Koteshwar National Highway before colliding with an electric pole. The impact left the front portion of the vehicle severely damaged.
Qazi Sahib sustained injuries to his face, head, and both hands. His son, Maulana Atiqur Rahman Dangi Nadvi, daughter-in-law Fatima Musfira, and four-year-old granddaughter Ismat also suffered injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
It has been learned that the Qazi had traveled to Mangaluru for a medical check-up as part of his preparations for Umrah, scheduled for April 9.
