Teenager with headphones killed by express train

May 05, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Shiroor: A 19-year-old boy from Shiroor has been struck and killed by a fast-moving express train on Monday afternoon since he was listening to audio while walking onto the tracks and could not hear the driver blowing the horn, a source informed. Sources say, Mohammed Fouzan was wearing headphones as he strolled along the tracks apparently totally unaware that a train was approaching him from behind when the train struck him due to which Fouzan fell quite a distance apart and was killed on the spot. It is worth noting here the reason the young man put the headphones on while strolling on the train tracks. Nowadays, youngsters are often seen walking and driving with headphones on. Today's incident should serve as a reminder for all such youngsters. - ARF
