Tanzeem's 5-day workshop concludes on a high note with grand valedictory event

Bhatkal 18 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem’s 5-days journalism workshop concluded on a high note with a valedictory event on Wednesday at a private venue here on Bunder road in Bhatkal.
The organizers during the event expressed their satisfaction over the organizing of the event and claimed that the event was successful as several students actively participated in the workshop and also expressed their interest in taking up journalism as their careers.
Chief Guest of the event and Managing Editor of Siasat daily Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, spoke about the importance of recruiting our youngsters in journalism and mass communication fields while considering the current scenario of the country.
“We need to work in silence if we ever have to overcome the suppression we are facing in the society, as long as we make hue and cry of everything we do, we will never coup the conditions” Zaheeruddin added.
Another Chief Guest and former media advisor of then Karnataka Siddaramaiah, in his address pressed upon developing the reading habit, as the success mantra in journalism is all about reading and acquiring knowledge about all that is happening and had been happening on the ground.
Chief Editor of Vartha Bharti, Abdus Salam Puthuge, stressed upon establishing more media houses to counter the damage that has been done so far to the image of the community, and said that the media is the only weapon we should use to come out of it. He further added that it will only take good 20 years if we are focused to redo the image of the community.
Former Bureau chief of Khaleej Times, Gulf News and Emirates Today in Abu Dhabi, Syed Qamar Hassan also expressed his thoughts during the event and congratulated Tanzeem for organising such and event while also wishing the participants of the workshop luck for the future.
Abdul Aleem Khateeb about media and journalism in the lights of Islam and Quran and added that Media has its own importance in Islam and if taken up with right intentions it will also be counted among one’s good deeds, provided it is used to bring out the truth and executed with responsibility.
The event began with the recitation of the verses from Holy Quran by Abubaker Ukasha, followed by a Naat by Hassan Siddibapa. Tanzeem Gen Secy. Altaf Kharuri welcomed the guests to the event which was presided over by Tanzeem President Muzammil Kazia, who in his presidential address encouraged the youngsters for taking up journalism as careers and also offered assistance and guidance from the Tanzeem.
Workshop and Tanzeem Media watch committee convener Aftab Kola presented report of the workshop and thanked Almighty Allah for the feat while also hoping that the Tanzeem will convert some of the youngster who attended the workshop into good journalists with follow up plans. Tanzeem vice president Inayathullah Shabandri presented vote of thanks towards the end of the event which was followed by presentation of certificates and prizes for several competitions organised during the workshop.
