Tanzeem delegation urges HESCOM to provide uninterrupted power supply during Ramadan, Eid

Bhatkal: 3 April 2024 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) As the final 10 days of Ramadan commenced, addressing complaints of frequent power outages in Bhatkal lasting a couple of hours, a delegation from Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem met with HESCOM Assistant Engineer Manjunath on Thursday. The delegation presented a memorandum, urging immediate rectification of power failures during such occasions and the implementation of preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
Led by Atiqur Rehman Muniri, Vice President of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, and Rabita Society General Secretary Atiqur Rehman Muniri, along with Abdul Raqib MJ Nadvi, General Secretary of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, the delegation expressed concerns over the inconvenience caused by power cuts, particularly amid rising temperatures in Bhatkal. They highlighted the challenges faced by worshippers and the general public due to such interruptions.
Maulana Azizur Rahman Nadvi, President of the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation (BMYF), also part of the delegation, noted receiving complaints about individuals tampering with power lines in remote areas during Muslim festivals, resulting in electricity disruptions. He emphasized the need for preemptive measures to address such issues.
The delegation urged the Assistant Engineer to take immediate preemptive actions to alleviate such problems during the upcoming Eid festivities.
