Tanzeem delegation meets HESCOM engineer to discuss electricity cuts

Bhatkal - To solve the issue related to the electricity cuts faced by residents of Bhatkal since the past three days, a delegation of Majlis Islaah-va-Tanzeem met the Assistant Executive Engineer (HESCOM) today evening and discussed the reason behind the cuts. He replied to the delegation saying that extra-ordinary load on the insulator of the main lines of Karwar till Ankola and Honavar till Bhatkal during the night causes the system to fail. Thus, affecting the core power supply system.
While replying to a question, he said that in order to prevent electricity troubles during rainy season they have written a letter to senior officers and requested them to install a new insulator at the earliest.
In response to another question on having to wait till morning for the electricity problem to be resolved, he replied that if there are any issues within Bhatkal their technicians go and resolve the problem but if there are any issues related to main lines outside Bhatkal then they have no option but to wait till morning.
Answering another question, he said that they have also planned to set-up a power plant in Bhatkal and for that purpose they have also acquired land.
In the end, he promised that he will adopt all necessary measures and will try his level best to prevent electricity cuts as much as possible.
On this occasion, Tanzeem General Secretary Mohiuddin Altaf Kharoori and other members were present.
