Tanzeem calls press conference against derogatory remarks by MP Anant Kumar

March 01, 2016 | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Condemning strongly the controversial and derogatory statement made by Anant Kumar Dattatreya Hegde, the BJP Lok Sabha member from Uttar Kannada constituency, Bhatkal's socio-political organization Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem in a press conference held today termed this behaviour as anti-Islamic. The press-statement said that with this act, Anant Kumar has displayed a despicable mentality and temperament. MP might have uttered such derogatory words for the sake of cheap publicity and political gains, the press-statement said. Islam is a religion of peace and guarantor for the welfare of the humanity. The MP's dream of eradicating this religion is highly deplorable and would never be accomplished till this world comes to an end. In addition to spoiling the environment of brotherhood and peace, the MP's statement has hurt the sentiments of Muslims, the press-statement added. We have registered a case against Anant Kumar Dattatreya Hegde and will initiate all possible legal proceedings against him, the press-statement added. In the end, Tanzeem has requested Muslims to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the town and openly condemn the MP's derogatory remarks in a peaceful manner. Earlier on Sunday, addressing media persons at a press conference held in Sirsi, Anant Kumar Hegde reportedly said "Terror will prevail in this world as long as Islam prevails".
