Syed Parvez nominated vice-president of Minority Cell of Uttara Kannada Zilla Congress Committee

Syed Parvez, a prominent leader in the town, has been nominated as vice-president of Minority Cell of Uttara Kannada Zilla Congress Committee, a press note from Mehboob Ali Ahmed, president of Minority Cell of Uttara Kannada Zilla Congress Committee, said. Parvez is a prominent social worker in the town. He is currently the secretary, works committee, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal, and also serves as general secretary of Sultan Masjid Managing Committee. Parvez has served as general secretary and vice-president of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal in the past. He has been one of the founder members of one of Bhatkal's leading youth organisations, i.e., Sultan Youth Welfare Association (SYWA), Bhatkal. He also served as general secretary of Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation during its initial years. It is hoped that the Congress would be able to strengthen its presence in the minorities under Parvez's leadership.
