Syed Hasan Barmawar submits memorandum to R V Deshpande

Bhatkal: Bhatkal's famous social worker of Syed Hasan Barmawar submitted a memorandum highlighting various issues faced by residents of Bhatkal to UK District in-charge R V Deshpande during his visit here in Bhatkal.
In the memorandum, Syed Hasan Barmawar has mentioned about various issues including request for impartial processing of jobs by government officials, quick processing of Ration card applications, speedy resolution to issues faced in Aadhar card processing. On the issue of atikaram (unregistered) lands, he said that forest officers are troubling the residents who have stayed on those lands for more than 20-30 years thereby compelling them to vacate it. This is causing problems to the residents of Bhatkal.
He further said that various schemes announced by the government for the benefit of the people should be advertised as much as possible so that everyone is informed about it. He also requested to give thought on the availability of doctors round-the-clock and supply of medicines at the government hospital.
In the end, he requested that Mumbai-Mangalore Express train which currently halts at Byndoor railway station to have a halt at Bhatkal station so that residents of Bhatkal are not inconvenienced to travel to Byndoor for boarding the train.
