Summer holidays declared for schools, new academic year to start from June 15

Bengaluru, May 5: Education minister Suresh Kumar said that schools throughout the state are closed in wake of the increasing cases of coronavirus pandemic, and the summer holidays of the academic year 2020-21 is revised keeping in mind the present situation.
Suresh Kumar confirmed that a circular is taken out in this regard and as informed earlier summer holidays are declared for primary schools till June 14 while for high schools it will be from April 27 to May 31.
The minister also said that high school teachers should give attention to preparations for the SSLC examinations of students and encourage them to study.
Revision classes will be held for SSLC students from June 1 to 14. SSLC examinations will be held from June 21 to July 5. The academic year of 2021-22 for grades 1 to 10 will start from June 15 according to the information shared by the education minister.
