Sulia: Six year old girl crushed down by her own school bus, dies at hospital

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Ismail Zaorez Sullia 15 Feb 2018: Agneya Balu (6), a student of 1st Std at KVG School here breathed her last in a private hospital in Mangaluru on Tuesday after sustaining severe injuries on Monday when she was crushed down by her school bus while returning home after her school hours. On Monday evening, when Agneya got down from her school bus near her home she realized she had left behind her lunch box on the bus and asked her friend to pass it through the bus window. Unaware of this, the bus driver Dhananjay, the bus driver moved the bus thinking Agneya had safely got down off the bus, Agneya meanwhile lost her balance and was crushed down under the tyre of the bus. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and was later shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru where the little soul succumbed to her injuries. Absence of conductor on the school bus is being blamed as the reason for the tragic accident. A case has been registered at Sulia Police Station.
