'Sukhan-e-Naqaash' Urdu Mushaira organized in Bhatkal

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 19 Feb 2018: An Urdu Mushaira named 'Sukhan-e-Naqaash' was organized on Sunday night near Sultan Masjid, Sultan Street here in Bhatkal. Several local poets including Affan Bafaqui, Iqbal Saeedi, Haneef Shabnam and others presented their poetry along with two guest poets at the event. The two guest poets present were Marhoom Malegaonvi and A.M Turath, presented their poetry for the delight of the audience present. Marhoom Malegaonvi, is known across the nation for his comic poetry and has been featured in some of the comic shows on Indian television, while AM Turath is a Bollywood lyricist. The Mushaira was hosted by Patel Farooque Shabandri on the occasion of the wedding ceremony of his daughter. Moulana Anees Chisthi presided over the event, while Ateeq Shabandri compered the event.
