Students of nine local girls high school compete in different events at Anjuman pre-centenary celebrations

Bhatkal 3 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Girls High School, Basti road and Anjuman Girls English Medium High School, Nawayath colony, Bhatkal kicked off their pre-centenary celebrations of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal by organising several events and competitions at Anjuman Women's Educational Campus, Basti Road, Bhatkal on December 2, December 2018. Themed 'Deeniyath day', several inter-school competitions were organised for the students including Qirath, Naat, Hamd, Pick and speak and picture description based on Islamic history. The event began with the recitation of holy Quran, followed by Hamd, Naat and Taran-e-Anjuman by the students. Miss Tahiya Taskeen, welcomed the guests and audience while Mrs. Khurshid Armar - Head Mistress, Islahulbanaat primary school, Bhatkal was present as the chief guest for the event. Mrs. Bibi Ruqayya Mohtesham - teacher, Al-Kauser Girls College, Bhatkal and Mrs. Bushra Siddiqui - teacher , Jamia-tus-Salihaat, Bhatkal were present as the judges of the competitions. The convenor of the centenary celebrations of AHM and member of ladies advisory committee, AHM, Bhatkal ; Mrs. Seema Nazeer Kashimji during the event briefed about the centenary celebrations. The event was also graced by the other members of Ladies Advisory Committee of AHM, Bhatkal. Chief Guest Khurshid Armar also addressed the students and participants and congratulated everyone on their participation irrespective of winners. Students from over nine high schools of Bhatkal participated in the events, cash prizes were distributed among the winners of each event. Ayesha Faiqua d/o Mohammed Hussain Kumshe - AGHS , Bhatkal bagged first place in Qirath competition, followed by Tiyab d/o Aftab Ahmed Haji - Naunihaal Central School, Bhatkal and Noorah d/o Mohammad Shuaib Kazia - AGEMHS, Nawayath colony, Bhatkal at second and third place respectively. Khatija Masiya d/o Abdul Majid Khateeb - Ali Public School, Bhatkal bagged first prize in Naat competition while Fatima Hala d/o Nisar Ahmed - Naunihaal Central School, Bhatkal and Bibi Ameena d/o Tanveer Ahmed - New English National School, Murdeshwar secured second and third place respectively. Among the participants of  pick and speak (themed Hadith) Rabiya Maliha d/o Abdul Muqeem Hallare - New Shams School, Bhatkal, Usqua d/o Mohammad Ashraf Muallim - Anjuman Girls English Medium High School, Nawayath colony, Bhatkal and Fatima Rimsha d/o Mohammad Faheem Sayeri - New English National High School, Murdeshwar secured first, second and third place respectively. In Islamic picture description competition team Anjuman Girls English Medium High School, Nawayath colony, Bhatkal won first place, New Shams School, Bhatkal secured second place while Ali Public School Bhatkal secured third place. The events were hosted by Mrs.Gulzar and Miss. Madiya Taranam, while Miss. Afrah Fakerdey and Miss. Aysha Yasira co-ordinated the events.   (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
