SSLC-Results-2013 BANGALORE: With a pass percentage of 82.29%, girls continued to leave behind their counterparts at the  Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results declared on Monday. "They have recorded a difference of 10% in the pass percentage compared to boys, which is a good sign," said G Kumar Naik, principal secretary, primary and secondary education, who announced the results. Students from rural areas too proved their mettle yet again. "There is a marginal increase in the scores of both rural and urban students, but the improvement is more among students from rural areas. The fact that students in these areas took the initiative to study hard is worth appreciating and they will receive incentives to help them with their higher studies," he said. In total, 1,984 schools have recorded 100% results this year across Karnataka, compared to 1,878 schools last year. Students with physical disabilities have also fared better in comparison to last year. While last year's pass percentage was 80.21%, there is a slight increase this year with 80.97%.
