SSLC results: Bhatkal Taluka records 94.09%, girls outshine boys

Bhatkal: Karnataka Board 10th X class exam results 2015 were announced on Tuesday at 3 PM. The pass percentage in Uttar Karnataka
district is 92.87% while in Bhatkal taluka it is 94.09% percent, marginally higher than the district.
A total of 8.56 lakh students took the exam held between 30 March and 13 April and conducted in 3,003 centres across the state.
In terms of district-wise performance, Udupi (93.37 percent) has the highest pass percentage, followed by Chikkodi and Uttara Kannada. Gadag is in the last place. Girls have outshone boys again, with a pass percentage of 86.23 as against 77.85.
A total of 2387 students appeared for the SSLC exam from the Bhatkal Taluka. In the taluka too, girls have outshone boys again. Out of 1113 male students, 1046 have passed and out of 1254 female students, 1200 have passed making the total number of students passed to 2246. Thus, female students have recorded a pass percentage of 95.69% as compared to male students who have recorded 93.32% aggregating the total pass percentage of Bhatkal Taluka to 94.09%.
