SSLC results; Bhatkal Taluka records 84.27%

7th May 2013 / Press Release / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: SSLC results were announced today by the education minister. The results were declared on the Internet yesterday itself. In the state, Chakodi district has topped this time followed by Mandya and Udupi districts in the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Like last year, this year also, female students have outperformed their male counterparts and have scored better marks. Our district (Uttar Canara) this time has recorded a pass percentage of 83.25% and ranks 11 amongst the 30 districts in the Karnataka state. According to notification sent by Bhatkal Education Minister Devi Das Moger, a total of 2136 students appeared for the SSLC exam. Out of 1005 male students, 813 have passed and out of 1131 female students, 987 have passed making the total number of students passed to 1800. Thus, female students have recorded a pass percentage of 87.27% as compared to male students who have recorded 80.89% aggregating the total pass percentage of Bhatkal Taluka to 84.27%. In these, 134 have scored distinction, 739 have scored first class, 437 have scored second class, 490 have secured pass class and 336 students will reappear for the exams. According to sources, Pooja Panduranga Kamat from Anand Ashram Convent School topped the Taluka by securing 98.72% with score of 617 out of 625. Sneha C Naik from the same school came second by securing 97.92% and Pratiksha P Pai from Vidya Bharti School Bhatkal stood third with 97.28%. Apart from them, Nivedita Devadiga (Anand Ashram Convent School) secured 97.12% and Farheen Dilshan Muallim (Anjuman Girls High School, Nawayat Colony) secured 97.12%. From amongst 36 schools in the Taluka, Anand Ashram School and Naunihaal Central School have recorded a success rate of 100%. From among the aided and non-aided schools running under Muslim management, Naunihaal Central School has recorded a pass percentage of 100%, IUHS school recorded a pass percentage of 69.23%, Anjuman Girsl High School recorded a pass percentage of 88.89%, National High School Murudeshwar recorded a pass percentage of 75.68%, Shams English Medium School Bhatkal recorded a pass percentage of 87.04%, Iqra High School Murudeshwar recorded a pass percentage of 84.21%, National Public School Bhatkal recorded a pass percentage of 40.00%, Anjuman Boys High School recorded a pass percentage of 97.30% and Anjuman Girls High School, Nawayat Colony recorded a pass percentage of 94.19%.
