The question papers for SSLC and II PU examinations will be printed in the examination hall 10 minutes before the commencement of the exams from next year.
Higher Education Minister T B Jayachandra told reporters here on Monday that the question papers would be mailed simultaneously to all the examination centres from the central control room of the department.
Arrangements would be made at the examination centres to take print out of the question papers, he explained.
The state government had to conduct re-examination for the II PU chemistry paper twice in the last academic year following leak of question papers.
Jayachandra also said that the government would not grant permission for starting new colleges this year. "The colleges functioning at present have to improve their condition with more facilities,” he said.
Jayachandra said the state government has been formulating a new education policy to ensure that students are employable. A meeting with the vice-chancellors of universities would be held on June 15.
Opinion of experts like Dr C N R Rao, former chairman of the Prime Minister’s Scientific Advisory Council, and Wipro chairman Azim Premji would also be obtained, he added. He also said appointment orders would be issued to 2,160 candidates recruited for the posts of assistant professors at government colleges.
