SSLC exams from April 2

Bangalore - 11 Nov 2011 (DHNS): The timetable for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination, 2012, is out.

The annual board examination will begin with first-language papers on April 2 and end on April 16.

The examination for First Languages and Core Subjects will be spread over 3.15 hours and that of Second Languages and other subjects 2.45 hours.

Timetable:

  • Monday, April 2 (10.30 am to 1.45 pm): First language (Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English, Sanskrit) - maximum marks: 125.
  • Tuesday, April 3 (10.30 am to 1.45 pm): Core subjects: Indian Economics (only for blind students), Elements of Electronics Engineering, Elements of Computer Science - maximum marks: 90; 10.30 am to 1.15 pm: Elements of Engineering (maximum marks: 50); 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm: Engineering Drawing (maximum marks: 50). All the last four subjects are only for Junior Technical School (JTS) students. The practical and oral examinations for the said subjects will be held at the respective centres on Tuesday, April 17.
  • Thursday, April 5 (10.30 am to 1.45 pm): Science, Indian Political Science and Civics (only for blind students); 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm: Carnatic music/Hindustani music (only for blind students).
  • Monday, April 9 (10.30 am to 1.45 pm): Mathematics, Indian Sociology (only for blind students).
  • Wednesday, April 11 (10.30 am to 1.15 pm): Second Language (English, Kannada).
  • Friday, April 13 (10.30 am to 1.15 pm): Third Language (Hindi, Kannada, English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sanskrit, Konkani).
  • Monday, April 16 (10.30 am to 1.45 pm): Social Science.
