SSLC exams commence in Bhatkal

March 30, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Across the state, 8.49 lakh students appeared for the first language exam of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination on Wednesday. 10,778 students appeared from the Uttar Karnataka district while 2300 students wrote exams in Bhatkal. As per information, Karwar zone has 11 centers, Ankola 4, Kumta 6, and 8 centers in Bhatkal and Honnavar zone. 10,327 fresh candidates, 290 private candidates and 161 repeaters are answering the examinations. A prohibitory order has been promulgated from March 30 to April 13 from 6 am to 2 pm all over the district within a radius of 200 meters around the centers where the SSLC examinations are held. As per the prohibitory orders, all the photocopying centers within the 200-meter radius of the examinations centers should be closed half an hour before the exams start. The exams will conclude on April 13. - ARF
