Speeding car rams into scooter on Goodluck road in Bhatkal, couple, their child injured

Bhatkal: 16 January,26 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  A man, his wife and their minor child sustained injuries after a speeding car collided with their scooter on Goodluck Road in Bhatkal on Thursday evening.

The accident took place around 5 pm near Goodluck Cross. CCTV footage from the area, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the scooter moving along Goodluck Road when a car coming at high speed from the Hurlisal side suddenly rammed into it at the junction. The impact threw the couple and their child onto the road.

According to eyewitnesses, the injured were identified as Zuhair Chamandi, a resident of Goodluck Road, who was riding the scooter along with his wife and young child. The car reportedly failed to slow down while crossing the junction and crashed into the two-wheeler.

Sources said the scooter became stuck in the car’s wheel immediately after the collision, which helped prevent a more serious accident. Despite this, Zuhair’s wife suffered a severe leg injury, while Zuhair sustained injuries to his back.

All three were rushed to a nearby private hospital, where they received medical treatment. After initial care, they were discharged and allowed to return home later in the night.

It is learnt that no police complaint was filed in connection with the accident, as the matter was settled amicably through mutual discussion between the parties involved.
