Specially-abled student from Honnavar wins World Junior Chess Championship in USA

Honnavar 16 July 2019: A specially-abled student from Honnavar Taluka emerged champion at 'The World Junior Chess Championship for the Disabled' held at New Jersey in United States.
Samarth Jagadish Rao, who is currently pursuing his B.com graduation in SDM college at Honnavar is the son of Jagadish Rao and Smt.Vinutha Bhat.
Samarth secured 5.5 points in a total of 7 rounds to win the competition.
The college management and well-wishers congratulated Samarth for his achievement.
