Udupi-Chikkamagaluru member of parliament Kota Srinivas Poojary) shared information regarding this service on social media. A similar special train arranged previously for Ugadi saw an overwhelming response, with over 700 seats being booked despite a mid-day departure. Authorities expect a similar high turnout this time as well.
In addition to the long-distance service, a special MEMU train from Tumakuru to Banaswadi via Yeshwantpur has also been scheduled for March 22 to assist local commuters.
