Mecca: Special instructions have been issued for visitors of Masjid al-Haram, as stated by the guardian of Masjid al-Haram’s gates, Saif al-Salami, that water coolers and large bags will no longer be allowed inside Masjid al-Haram.
According to foreign sources, Saif al-Salami stated that visitors should adhere to the regulations so that other pilgrims do not face any difficulties. He said that this decision was made so that the administration of Masjid al-Haram could provide maximum comfort and convenience to Umrah pilgrims.
He mentioned that a ban has been imposed on bringing large bags and water coolers into the Sacred Mosque because some pilgrims bring large bags with them, causing inconvenience to others.
Al-Salami stated that designated personnel at the gates of Masjid al-Haram have been instructed not to allow entry to anyone with water coolers or large travel bags.
On the other hand, in the Prophet’s Mosque, Saudi Arabia, a special arrangement has been made by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to continuously refill the Zamzam water coolers for the convenience of pilgrims.
According to reports, the Zamzam water tanks are sent from Mecca to Medina on a daily basis by the Zamzam supply department of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
In the Prophet’s Mosque, there are 10,000 coolers placed at various locations of the Rawdah al-Sharifah, which are filled on a daily basis. If the water in the coolers runs low, they are replaced with water from other coolers. Special teams of personnel work on a daily basis to ensure the provision of Zamzam water in the coolers, making sure that they are never empty.
