NEW DELHI: A trial court on Tuesday sent AAP MLA and former Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti to two days police custody in connection with the domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed against him by his wife. The court allowed the police's plea for custodial interrogation of Bharti after police said crucial recoveries such as the knife with which he allegedly attacked his wife and his wife's jewellery had to be seized at his instance. According to ANI, the court has also allowed food, medicine and fruits for Bharti during his police remand as he is a diabetic. Bharti was arrested early Tuesday morning after he surrendered at Dwarka police station late Monday night after Supreme Court's direction.   TOI
