Social workers, Sportsmen, Government Officials, others felicitated during Republic Day in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 27 January 2020: To mark the 71th anniversary of the country’s constitution coming into force, Government departments, Educational institutions and social organisations of Bhatkal celebrated the Indian Republic day with great fervor and patriotism here on Sunday, 26 Jan. At Taluka Stadium, after receiving the guard of honour, Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla hoisted the Indian Tri-colour. During the Republic day celebration at Taluka Stadium, the achievers of various fields including social workers, government officials and sportsmen were felicitated for thier achievements. Several Groups comprising NCC wings, police personnel and students of various schools participated in the march past. Cultural programs were also held during the program. MLA Sunil Naik, Tahsildar V P Kotralli, BEO Munji, Taluk Panchayat Officer Prabhakar Chiknamani, CPI Prakash MS, Municipality officer Devraj, Panchayat Cheif Officer Venu Gopal Shastri, Taluk Panchayat member Vishnu Devadiga and others were present on the dais during the celebration.
