Social Activist submits signed petition to Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem to stop AC Sajid Mulla's transfer

Bhatkal 18 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A local social activist and executive member of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal, Irshad Ikkeri, popularly known as Data Irshad has submitted a signed petition by about 50 people to Majlis-e-Islah Wa Tanzeem requesting its political interference to revoke the transfer orders of Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sajid Ahmed Mulla, earlier last week. Mulla a KAS officer, who took charge as the AC of Bhatkal in June this year had reportedly received transfer orders earlier this month, and was supposed to be replaced by an IAS officer. However, taking advantage from the delay in process, Irshad Ikkeri submitted a petition from about 50 'Educated and politically aware' people of Bhatkal and submitted it to Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, seeking its intervention to revoke the orders. Irshad, in the petition termed the transfer 'unnecessary' while adding that the administration in Bhatkal had been running smoothly and peacefully under Mulla. After receiving the petition, Tanzeem General Secretary and other officials assured Irshad of looking into the matter and doing the needful after discussing it with office bearers. Speaking to Bhatkallys.com Tanzeem Vice President Inayathullah Shabandri, added that he along with Tanzeem GS, TMC President Sadiq Matta and others have spoken to Deshpande, and that they will see what can be done.
