SLC issue clarification on India vs Sri Lanka one-off T20I toss blunder

The India vs Sri Lanka series might have come to an end, but the controversy regarding the toss of the only T20I between the two sides is far from over. India had officially won the toss and elected to field first. This was also Virat Kohli’s first ever toss win in a T20I as captain. However, it was later revealed that India had not won the toss as Kohli called ‘Heads’ when Sri Lanka skipper Upul Tharanga tossed the coin, but when the coin had fallen, it was ‘Tails.’ It seemed as though Andy Pycroft made a blunder when he told presenter Murali Kartik “Tails, India.”
Hearing this, Kartik immediately said, “Heads, it is” and turned to Kohli to ask him if he was going to bat or bowl. Kohli chose to bowl and when Tharanga was asked what he would have done had he won the toss, he too said that he would have decided to bowl, given the overcast conditions at Colombo.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) released an edited video, to tell the fans that Pycroft had indeed made the right call. But even with the edited video, it seems as though, Pycroft made a blunder, by saying “Tails, India.” The audio when Pycroft has been reduced. After Kartik turned to Kohli first, the match referee was a tad confused but he did not approach Kartik to tell him that it was Sri Lanka, who had won the toss, not India.
India eventually won the match by 7 wickets and completed a 9-0 clean sweep of Sri Lanka on the tour, which included 3 Test wins, followed by 5 ODI wins and the tour concluded with yet another comprehensive win in the T20I.
