Six more arrested in animal's skin trade racket in Kumta; total arrest toll eight

Kumta 29 October 2018:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Six persons allegedly involved in trading skins and other remains of wild life arrested by the forest officials here at Hegde of Kumta on Sunday. The detained have been identified as Shridhar Nagesh Bandari, Ramachanndra Kuppa Gowda, Mahesh Tuludas Gowda, Eshwar Devu Gowda, Ashok Ratnakar Bandari and Raju Honnappa Naik. As per sources, On 3rd of October the forest officials arrested Kamalesh Eshwar Naik while smuggling the skin of a Cheetah here at Kumta. With the help of him another arrest was made on 27th of Oct of Abhishek Dinakar Naik. Abhishek, during interrogation revealed the involvement of other six in the act, based on his statement on Sunday the officials arrested remaining accused by raiding their house at Hegde of Kumta. The forest officials seized the skin of cheetah and other remains of the wild life animal. A total of eight accused has been arrested by the forest officials so far. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
