Six children injured as lorry hits school bus on Ring Road in Mysuru

Six children were injured when the school van in which they were travelling met with an accident on the Ring Road-Bannur Road Junction in Mysuru on Tuesday. Police said the mishap took place when a truck hit the van ferrying children to Delhi Public School (DPS) situated on Bannur Road on the outskirts of the city. DPS authorities said the children were treated at a private nursing home nearby and discharged. "All the children are fine," an official from the school told The Hindu. The injured children travelled to DPS from Srirangapatna, about 20 km from here, in a private van. "The children were not travelling in a DPS school bus," the official clarified.
