Six arrested in a police raid at gambling spot in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 4 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Rural Police on Tuesday arrested six people during a raid at a gambling spot in a public place near Gorte school of Bhatkal Taluk here on July 3, night. The accused have been identified as Timmaiah Moger (30), Deepak Moger (28), Bagesh Moger (25), Venkataramana Moger (28), Nagendra Moger (31) and Chandrakanth Moger (27), all resident of Gorte village of Bhatkal taluk. On Tuesday night around 9:30 pm the six accused were playing gambling in a public place at Gorte school of Bhatkal, upon noticing this, a team led by Bhatkal Rural PSI Ravi GA, raided the place and arrested all the six accused. The police also seized cash of Rs. 5180/-, a polythene bag, a pack of 52 cards, 2 used candles from the spot during the raid. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural police station.
